Over the last few months our youth group,Identity, has been focusing on sharing our beliefs beyond the four walls of the church. The only way for the world to experience God’s love is to see it shining through us.Because of this focus, we decided to make sack lunches and hand them out in downtown Houston to the homeless and needy.About twenty young people and adults showed up to help make 100 lunches, load them, and then hand them out. When those on the street realized what we were doing it took only about 5 minutes to distribute the lunches. In fact, we ran out before everyone that needed a lunch even had one.It was a very moving experience and showed our young people the importance of helping others.
Thanks for all of the prayers for the meeting with the insurance company and our public adjusters. I have been told that the meeting went well. Our builder submitted to the insurance company, December 1st as the starting build back date... I doubt we will know a good goal date until after the first of the year for us to be back in. . In the meantime, once again we are so thankful for Pastor Sauceda for allowing us to use their building to have service in until we get home...
Our Thanksgiving communion service will be Monday, November 24th. A come and go service with your family, as we have done in times past...
God Bless
Pastor Rich
